What is Family Life Ministry's TGIF Broadband Service?
Now families who have high-speed access with a cable
modem or DSL can enjoy TGIF filtering on their computers at home as well. By subscribing to the TGIF Broadband service, our filtering software can be downloaded and installed, applying TGIF filtering protection to your existing Internet service. Multiple filtering profiles can be configured for each member of the family, each with their own levels of filtering. Access logs are available for the account guardian, providing full control over the family's web browsing, and time schedules can be configured to only allow Internet access during certain times of the day.
Can the filtering be disabled or thwarted?
When you install the TGIF Broadband software, a master password is used to control access to filtering levels, access reporting, etc. This master password MUST be provided to either disable filtering or to uninstall the TGIF Broadband software itself.
What are the System Requirements for the TGIF Plus service?
TGIF Plus service is compatible with windows-based PCs only, running Windows 98 or greater with 32MB RAM and a Pentium II-grade 233Mhz or greater processor. 40MB hard-disk space is also required. The TGIF Broadband system requires existing broadband Internet connectivity (not included).

TGIF Broadband service offers Technical Support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at absolutely no charge. Our friendly technicians can walk you through troubleshooting and resolving just about any trouble that you may encounter.
Will the TGIF Broadband filtering system block EVERY objectionable website?
We believe that our filtering system is the best available. With that being said, no filtering system can purport to be 100% effective in blocking every objectionable site on the Internet. With billions upon billions of webpages out there, it is impossible to block each and every page that contains an inappropriate image or text. We do not believe that this system is a replacement for adult supervision, but it is highly effective in protecting families from offensive web content. The addition of customizable filtering controls empowers the account guardian to override filtering or add explicit filtering rules to enhance the efficacy of the service. Access logs provide an aspect of accountability, as children that are aware that their usage is monitored are extremely less likely to attempt to thwart the filtering.
What if a "good" webpage is blocked or a "bad" webpage is not?
Unlike our standard TGIF service, if you encounter a website that is either erroneously blocked or incorrectly allowed through, the account guardian is able to override or explicitely block any page in the Internet. No longer will subscribers have to submit a site to the home office for approval or blocking.
